MADMAN SLAYS FAMILY, SELF – Stricken suddenly by insanity, in the belief of authorities, George Froseth, at the lower left, assistant postmaster at Washburn, Wis., killed his wife and four children with a hammer as they slept and took his own life by cutting his throat with a razor Monday night. The victims were, from left to right above, Mrs. Froseth, in a photograph taken when James, 6, was an infant; Adelaide and George Jr., twins, 11; and Neil Froseth, 13.
