Called by Death

Mrs. Ingeborg F. Froseth, aged 84 years, 7 months and 20 days, passed away at her home on West Pine street last Saturday morning after an illness caused from a general breakdown due to old age.

The funeral was held from the late residence Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, services being in charge of Rev. Chr. Christiansen of the Norwegian Lutheran church. Interment was in Woodland cemetery.

Mrs. Froseth was born March 11, 1835, at Solberg, Soknedalen, Norway, and immigrated to the United States with her husband and children in 1867, locating at Menomonie, Wis.  From there they moved to Meridean, Wis. and in 1887 came to this city where the family has since resided.

Mrs. Froseth was a kind and loving mother and a friend to everyone. In her quiet way she was always endeavoring to make others happy and when sickness or trouble came to her friends and neighbors she was always first to offer her services and many a feverish brow has felt the touch of her kind and loving hand. She was a Christian woman who endeavored to practice the teachings of Christianity as she saw them and when the final summons came she was prepared to meet her Maker.

She is survived by three children living, Mrs. Nels Ray, John and George Froseth of this city also two adopted children Mrs. A. W. Lindstrom and Henry Larson, two grand children and three great grandchildren. These have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

Those from out of town here to attend the funeral were Carl Froseth of Caryville, J.N. Froseth of Elk Mound, Cecil Rovick of Eau Claire and Minnie Lindstrom of Superior. A number of relatives residing at distant places in rural districts were unable to attend the funeral on account of weather conditions which made travel impossible.

Oh, Mother dear
We wept --'twas Nature wept, but Faith
Can pierce beyond the gloom of death,
And in yon world so fair and bright
Behold thee in refulgent light!
We miss thee here, yet Faith would rather
Know thou art with thy heavenly Father,
And we shall meet again.
